Cosmetic Dental Implant
Cosmetic Dental Implant - How long it will take to complete the Cosmetic Dental Implant procedure?
Cosmetic Dental Implant, how long does it take to get these? I am a teenager and don't want to walk around with missing front tooth. That would be horrible for my image at this age! So does anyone know how long it takes from the time the decaying tooth is pulled out to the time for a new artificial tooth to be placed? I have heard about same-day implants. Is that a good option for me? Are there artificial dentures that can be worn over the spot of the missing tooth until the gums have healed?
The whole process for Cosmetic Dental Implant can take from 4-6 weeks for the implants to heal. More time if you gums are infected or if you lack sufficient bone for the implants to be placed. Different people take different time to heal. So it all depends and varies from person to person.
Don't worry you don't need to go around with holes in your mouth. The implant dentist will place a healing cap over the implant and it won't look so bad as you imagine. You need to take care that you don't bite using that part of your teeth as the implants are likely to break if you use them before they are fully integrated with your bone.
The newer type of cosmetic dental implant that has immediate placement of the crown is called the same -day implants or one-day dental implants has got some good feedback. The failure rate is about the same as traditional Cosmetic Dental Implant. It is not commonplace, so you may have to ask around and see who is doing it in your area and how many they have done, and whether it is an option at all for you.
The traditional cosmetic dental implant takes about 6 months before you will get the permanent crown. But as stated above, you can have a temporary flipper or temp partial made that is removable and will fill in the spaces until the implants are ready for the crowns.
Implant are a great option as after the procedure you teeth will look just like the original but of course cosmetic dental implants are more expensive but worth all the money!!
